Special thanks to the folks over at GitCoin, who created the tool we used to implement quadratic voting for our logo selection. This logo was designed by user @NateTheMediorce with 5 different color pallets voted provided. The winning option is now featured on our all official accounts.
Collaboration is the heart of Creators Float. Whether it’s funding artists, exchanging design mediums, or providing creative workshopping, we seek to improve upon an individual’s artist vision by involving the time and resources of others.
All that to say, when it came time to create a logo for this project, we knew every step of the process would be done with the collaborative spirit in mind. @NateTheMediorce, in addition to being an all-around-badass, was the first non-founding member to join the DAO.
Over the course of a week, Nate drafted an outline for a logo and began testing different styles for filling it in with color. The community Discord (application here) severed as a place to workshop these designs and refine the needs for a logo appearing both small and large.

By week’s end, Nate had designed several versions of the logo. We knew right away we wanted the community to decide, so we narrowed it down to five options and set up a quadratic voting poll that allowed community members to not only express their desire for multiple styles, but weigh in their conviction by having a “quadratic budget” greater than the number of logo options. We are quite pleased with the results.
Quadratic Voting is just one of the many tools that can be readily utilized in the beautiful world of Web3. By adding Blockchain tools and a decentralized mindset to our artists’ community, we can share resources, express opinions, and present art in more efficient ways.
If you made it this far in the posts congrats! You deserve an alpha leak (that’s exclusive info in crypto speak): NFTs of all the logo design will be dropping in the next two weeks 🙂
